Intern with the Episcopal Public Policy Network

Published by Stacy at 11:07 am under News and Opportunities

Come to Washington to learn the skills to begin a career as a legislator, lobbyist, or policy researcher. The Capitol Hill government relations office of the Episcopal Church strives to influence national legislation or policy according to the positions adopted by the Church’s General Convention and Executive Council. The Episcopal Church, like many religious institutions, uses its Washington office to monitor the government and to coordinate national grassroots campaigns to support the Church’s stated goals. The government relations staff alerts Episcopalians and others to current issues via the Episcopal Public Policy Network.

Interns perform similar duties to those of Congressional interns and will practice entry-level skills necessary for the opportunity to advance to a career-building job in the legislative or missionary fields after completion of their internship. Incumbent interns must secure their own housing and provide for their own living. To apply, send a cover letter, résumé, and two writing samples toogrinternship@episcopalchurch.org.
